Local 1990 Membership Agreement

The Quad Cities Indian Motorcycle Riders Group Membership Agreement, listed as QCIMRG moving forward, outlines the terms and conditions for joining the group. It typically covers membership eligibility, rights and responsibilities of members, code of conduct, event participation guidelines, liability waivers, and any dues or fees associated with membership. Members are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the agreement to maintain their membership status and contribute positively to the community of Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. 

  • Membership Eligibility- To be eligible for membership in the QCIMRG, individuals typically need to own an Indian motorcycle, have a valid driver's license, and be over 18 years old. 
  • Membership Rights and Responsibilities- Membership rights include access to QCIMRG riding events, rides, and activities. Responsibilities involve adhering to the group's code of conduct, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere, participating in no less than 60% of the group meetings and 50% of the riding events, and respecting fellow members and their property. This eligibility requirement applies not only to a member in good standing but also to be nominated and a recipient of any awards given by the local IMRG at the end of the year. Or to be nominated for future officer roles within the QCIMRG.
  • Code of Conduct- the code of conduct for a QCIMRG member generally includes guidelines for safe and responsible riding, respectful behavior towards fellow riders and the community, adhering to traffic laws and regulations, zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination, and representing the group in a positive light both on and off the road. Members are typically expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy, and consideration for others at all times. 
  • Event Participation Guidelines- for participating in events organized by QCIMRG, members must RSVP in advance if applicable, follow any specified dress code or safety gear requirements, arrive punctually, and adhere to the event itinerary and route. Additionally, riders should maintain safe riding practices, respect fellow participants, and follow event organizers' instructions or guidelines. Members must represent the QCIMRG positively during events and contribute to a fun experience for all participants. 
  • Dues or fees- Dues and fees associated with the QCIMRG can vary depending on participation in various riding excursions or charity events. A member in good standing has paid the yearly dues of $20.00. to cover administrative and event expenses. The Treasurer collects the annual dues and any other money raised to benefit the group and deposits them in the account set up for QCIMRG at Ascentra Credit Union. A statement or live view of this account will be available at each meeting. Any action regarding the account must be approved by eligible officers and explained to qualified members.
  • Administrative Roles- The duties of the President, Vice President, and Treasurer are as follows. They should be elected every two years unless one or more choose to step down or are no longer available to participate.
    • President of the IMRG- The responsibility of the President of QCIMRG often includes leading the organization, presiding over meetings, representing the group in external matters, overseeing the executive board of Vice President and Treasurer, and ensuring the group operates following its bylaws and mission statement. Additionally, the President may be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the group, facilitating communication among members, and coordinating events and activities. They play a crucial role in guiding the organization's direction and growth while advocating for its members' interests. 
    • Vice President of the IMRG- The responsibility of the Vice President of the QCIMRG is to assist the President in their duties and assume leadership responsibilities in the President's absence. Duties may include supporting the President in organizing events and activities, overseeing specific committees or projects, facilitating communication between members and the executive board, and helping to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization. Their role is crucial in maintaining continuity and efficiency within the group's leadership structure. 
    • Treasurer- The role of the Treasurer for the QCIMRG involves managing the group's finances and financial records. Duties typically include collecting membership dues and fees, keeping accurate financial records, creating budgets, preparing financial reports for the executive board and members, handling expenses and reimbursements, and coordinating with any financial institutions or vendors as needed. The Treasurer plays a vital role in ensuring the economic health and transparency of the organization, providing accountability to members, and supporting the group's overall mission and objectives. 
  • Liability waivers- Members of the QCIMRG acknowledge the inherent risks associated with motorcycle riding and participation in group activities. By signing the waiver below, you agree to the membership eligibility guidelines, understand your membership rights and responsibilities as a member of the group, adhere to the code of conduct and event participation guidelines, pay the yearly dues or fees associated with group events, understand the administrative roles of the President, Vice President, and Treasurer, to release the Quad Cities Indian Motorcycle Group #1990, its organizers, and affiliated partners from any liability for accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur during group events or rides. These waivers protect the group and its members in case of unforeseen incidents and underscore the importance of safe and responsible riding practices.
